Borosilicate

Known for its durability and resistance, borosilicate glass withstands extreme thermal stress and temperatures up to 500°C (932°F) without breaking. It offers exceptional chemical resistance, making it ideal for harsh environments. Visually similar to crown glass, it features low dispersion and a low refractive index. Due to its high melting point, it requires more powerful burners and increased energy use during production.
